Hidden Oaks Ranch was established in 1999 by Keith and Cindy Rogers.
The ranch is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Hidden Oaks includes three separate properties, with ranches in Evant, Hamilton, and Star. In addition to raising cattle, we have an abundance of wildlife including: whitetail deer, turkey, dove, bobwhite quail, rattlesnakes and an occasional fox. We also have some big bass in the 14 acre lake and some nice catfish in the Cowhouse Creek on our home place.

The kids are the future of the ranch. Our slogan says, “Raising respectable kids and Herefords” and at Hidden Oaks you can’t have one thing without the other. The children are gaining respectability and responsibility because of the cattle. Tending to show heifers and traveling to stockshows is a big part of our life. Shelby, Koby, Harley and Brody work together along with Keith and Cindy to do the chores around the ranch. We try to do much of the work with the cattle on the ranch with the kids involved. 

As the kids have grown, the have become totally responsible for feeding the show cattle.  Some mornings are pretty cold and dark, but a big light in the barn and a flashlight in the hand gets the job done before school. The kids all know that the heifers and steers have to be taken care of first, before their other activities and that if they work together, getting their chores done is much faster. The animals actually prefer to have the kids catching and feeding them.  Summers are spent breaking in new calves and working with all the ones we will be showing during the summer and fall.  We also try to spend a lot of time with the steers that don’t even show until the next spring.  We are making memories in the summer when we spend time together with the show cattle.   Hidden Oaks Ranch is proud to be a family run operation.
